Qualifications

• Masters in School Psychology required.
• KSDE certification in school psychology required.

Responsibilities

• Makes observations of children and identifies behavioral patterns for staff guidance.
• Participates in screening, pre-assessment, identification, and placement for special education.
• Administers psychological tests and assessments for pupil evaluations.
• Interprets test results to staff and relates findings to classroom activity.
• Participates as a member of the Child Study Team.
• Consults with principals to improve educational programs.
• Refer children to appropriate agencies and liaison with community services.
• Support pupil mental health through counseling and behavior management.
