Job summary

East Providence School Department seeks a qualified School Psychologist to deliver a full range of school psychological services. You will evaluate students, prepare reports, and work with families, teachers, and administrators to support learning and behavior.

Responsibilities include counseling, classroom support, and participating in case conferences while maintaining confidential records and complying with district policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Must possess a valid RI DOE certification as a School Psychologist.
• 5 years of experience preferred and strong confidentiality.
• Proficient with computers and detailed oriented.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological evaluations to assess intelligence, educational development, perception and social-emotional skills.
• Prepare interpretive reports for other professionals.
• Consult with administrators, teachers, parents and students regarding findings.
• Provide individual and/or group psychotherapeutic counseling in assigned schools.
• Assist teachers in developing effective behavioral management plans.
