Job summary

The Groton-Dunstable Regional School District’s Florence Roche Elementary School in Groton, MA is seeking a School Nurse for the 2026-2027 school year. Salary is in accordance with the Unit A contract and ranges from $55,841 to $113,966 per year.

Valid MA Registered Nurse license and MA DESE licensure are required. Beginning as FT employment, the role includes administration of medications, triage, and health office assessments, with duties including emergency care and coordination with families

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 to 3 years of nursing experience; pediatric, emergency room, or community health experience preferred.
• Experience managing pediatric chronic illnesses and behavioral/mental health concerns is a plus.
• Provide first aid, emergency care, and triage for student and staff injuries or sudden illnesses.
• Administer daily prescription and emergency medications in accordance with district policy and state nursing regulations.
• Stabilize severely ill or injured individuals until emergency medical services or parents/guardians arrive.
• Assess students visiting the health office to determine if they should return to class or go home.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily nursing care and first aid to students and staff.
• Administer medications as per district policy and medical orders.
• Assess medical needs and determine if students should go home or return to class.
• Stabilize emergencies and coordinate with EMS or families as needed.
• Support students with chronic conditions and behavioral health needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
