Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in nursing; State of Maine Registered Nurse License and (524) School Nurse Certificate and current CHRC authorization through the State of Maine Department of Education.
Description: M.S.A.D. 11 is currently seeking an elementary school nurse. This candidate must work as a positive, collaborative team member to provide health care for students and staff, perform health screenings, and serve as a liaison between school personnel and families to support student health needs. This candidate must oversee and practice school health policies and programs while providing leadership in promoting health and safety, including a healthy school environment. Responsibilities also include writing health care plans for students with high-risk medical needs and 504 plans, as well as providing medical training for staff. This position will require travel between schools when emergencies arise.
