You will go to the student’s location for private sessions in the Greater Bethesda area, delivering personalized lesson plans and tracking progress with parents. The role emphasizes building confidence and a positive learning environment, with flexible scheduling and a supportive culture that values educators.

Qualifications

• Passion for teaching and engaging with younger students.
• Strong knowledge of elementary math, particularly fractions, decimals, and multi-digit operations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous tutoring or teaching experience.
• Familiarity with MAP-M assessments.
• Ability to pass a background check.

This is for private tutoring located in Bethesda, MD. Applicants must live or work in the Greater Bethesda, Rockville, or Silver Spring, MD areas. This is not a virtual tutoring position! You will go to the student's location.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person, one-on-one tutoring sessions with individually matched elementary school-age students located close to you in Bethesda, Maryland, and potentially other locations in the greater Bethesda area.
• Develop and implement personalized lesson plans
• Communicate progress and goals with parents
• Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment
• Build student confidence.
