AUDUBON ELEMENTARY in Kenner, LA is seeking an Assistant Principal to support the principal in directing educational programs and staff oversight. The role involves coordinating policies, managing resources, and guiding instructional practices to improve student achievement.

The candidate will supervise staff, prepare budgets, and ensure compliance with district standards. A Louisiana administrative certification and a strong track record in teaching are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher with Louisiana Certification in Administration and Supervision (Principalship Certificate).
• Three years of successful teaching experience.
• Teaching experience at the level assigned.
• Demonstrated ability to work with various groups.
• Doctorate Degree (desirable).
• Evidence of preparation for high school/middle/junior school program administration (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Supervises the instructional program.
• Prepares the instructional materials budget and textbook requisition.
• Supervises and evaluates teachers, discipline coordinators, counselors, and other staff.
• Supervises, collects, and reviews teacher lesson plans.
• Schedules and supervises substitute personnel.
• Organizes and supervises duty schedules.
• Supervises student attendance and discipline.
• Attends department head meetings at school and parish level when possible.
• Functions in the role of principal in the absence of the principal.
