Job summary

Hudson School District is seeking a long-term substitute Food Service Manager to oversee the elementary school kitchen at Hills Garrison Elementary School. This is a full-time position with day-to-day responsibilities managing food service operations and staff.

The role runs 7.5 hours per day, is anticipated to last 60-90 school days, and is not eligible for benefits. Responsibilities include training staff, ordering and receiving supplies, and enforcing safety and sanitation standards in

Qualifications

• Associate degree or vocational certificate in food service or related field.
• ServSafe certification required.
• Minimum 3 years in school food service with supervisory/management background preferred.
• 3 years of quantity food preparation with sanitation/safety knowledge.
• Must have transportation to SAU building.

Responsibilities

• Train employees and substitutes in use of kitchen equipment and safety.
• Submit weekly food and supply lists for purchasing; monitor inventories.
• Receive deliveries with accuracy; manage supplier invoices.
• Enforce rules, policies, and confidentiality per state/federal laws.
