Job summary

Wake County Public School System is seeking an educator to design and deliver classroom learning experiences that foster intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development. You will supervise students, monitor outcomes, and communicate with families and staff, ensuring effective use of facilities and resources.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Education and NC Professional Educator’s License; a Master’s in a relevant subject area is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education with appropriate subject area.
• Hold or be qualified to hold a North Carolina Professional Educator’s License in a teaching content area.
• Master’s degree in a specific subject area is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes assessment strategies aligned with WCPSS curriculum and standards to support learner development.
• Ensures effective communication techniques with students, parents, and stakeholders.
• Engages in planned continuous professional quality improvement for self, school, and district.
• Uses techniques to promote critical and creative thinking.
• Implements instructional strategies reflecting students' culture, learning styles, and needs.
• Creates a positive learning environment with active student engagement.
• Plans, aligns, implements, and evaluates instruction and assessment across environments.
• Collaborates with peers, parents, community, and stakeholders for continuous improvement.
• Integrates appropriate technology into teaching and learning processes.
• Adheres to safety procedures and performs other duties as assigned.
