Lincoln County Schools GE Massey Elementary School (316) in Lincolnton, North Carolina is seeking a dual-role professional for a Teacher Assistant (6 hours) and Bus Driver (2 hours) position at a 10-month, permanent, full-time level with benefit-eligible status including paid holidays, sick leave, annual leave, retirement, and hospitalization insurance.

The role involves one-on-one and small group student support, assisting teachers, clerical tasks, classroom preparation, and safe bus

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must pass drug, background, and TB tests.
• Must meet ESSA requirements: Associate degree or 30 college hours or WorkKeys.
• Valid NC driver license and driving record for NCCDL.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Must obtain bus driver certification if not held already.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers with high-quality instruction.
• Provide individualized and small group support to students.
• Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, playgrounds, and on field trips.
• Assist with clerical, organizational and instructional preparation tasks.
• Ensure student safety, discipline and engagement in learning environments.
• Operate a school bus to transport students safely.
