Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling Psychology with emphasis in school counseling.
• Missouri certification in K-12 Student Services- Counselor.
• Two years of classroom teaching experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Implements Missouri Comprehensive School Counseling Program with Curriculum, Responsive Services, Individual Student Planning and System Support.
• Works with Director of Elementary School Counseling to set program goals.
• Assists students in adjusting to school and developing a positive self-concept.
• Visits K-5 classrooms to deliver the counseling curriculum on a regular basis.
• Provides individual and small-group counseling and crisis intervention.
• Consults with teachers, parents and administration about student needs.
• Coordinates mental health services and community support for students and families.
