Job summary

Currituck County Schools is seeking an Elementary School Counselor for Tulls Creek Elementary School in Moyock, NC. The counselor will support K–5 students’ academic, social-emotional, and career development through a standards-aligned program.

Responsibilities include classroom guidance, individual and small-group counseling, collaboration with staff and families, and MTSS participation. Requires Master’s in School Counseling and NC licensure eligibility.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in School Counseling or related field is required.
• North Carolina School Counselor License or eligibility for licensure is required.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Implement a comprehensive school counseling program addressing academic, career, and social-emotional development.
• Provide individual and small group counseling to support student needs.
• Deliver classroom guidance lessons aligned with developmental standards.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to identify and support students.
