Valley View Independent School District Valley View Elementary School - Valley View, Texas is seeking an Elementary School Assistant Principal to direct instructional programs and campus operations. The role oversees student activities, supports teachers, and leads improvement planning with parents and community stakeholders.

The candidate should hold a Master’s degree and Texas principal certification, with leadership credentials such as AEL/ILT/ILD.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required or preferred.
• Texas principal certificate or other appropriate Texas certificate.
• Advanced Education Leadership (AEL) certification, Instructional Leadership Training (ILT), or Instructional Leadership Development (ILD).
• Certified T-TESS appraiser.

Responsibilities

• Instructional Management: Encourage and support innovative programs; participate in program evaluation; reinforce staff performance expectations; foster collegiality and teamwork.
• School/Organizational Improvement: Lead campus improvement planning; develop district improvement plans with stakeholders; maintain data systems for campus progress.
• Student Management: Act as campus behavioral coordinator; develop student discipline systems; ensure consistent rule application and conduct conferences with parents/teachers.
• Administration and Fiscal/Facilities Management: Oversee campus operations; schedule daily activities; manage attendance reporting; prepare budget requests; procure supplies and maintain inventory; coordinate transportation, custodial, and cafeteria services.
• Personnel Management: Observe staff performance; conduct evaluations; assist in interviewing and onboarding new staff.
• School/Community Relations: Communicate school mission to community; foster community and parent involvement; coordinate support activities.
• Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise and evaluate professional staff; direct teachers and support staff as assigned.
• Mental/Physical/Environmental Factors: Manage workload with interruptions; occasional travel; work indoors/outdoors; comply with safety and policies.
