Leaders In Our Neighborhood Charter School in Bronx, NY invites applications for an Elementary School Aide (Part-Time). The role supports student supervision, safety, and school culture during non-instructional periods with 20 hours per week.

Starting immediately, you will engage with students, staff, and families, report incidents per protocol, and participate in professional development. Compensation is $20 per hour, with on-site duties and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with the LION Community.
• Experience working with children.
• Strong sense of personal accountability for student success.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication with students, colleagues, and families.
• Excellent behavior management skills and flexibility to meet student needs.
• Preferably pursuing a degree or credential in education.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• The School Aide will work part-time (20 hours/week).
• Monitor lunch and recess periods for safety and positive environment.
• Maintain student culture during transitions and in common spaces.
• Interact positively with students, staff, and families.
• Report medical and discipline situations following proper protocols.
• Participate in school-wide meetings and professional development.
• Support the school community with other duties as needed.
