Qualifications

• State certification as an Elementary Teacher (or eligible).
• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related teaching field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade levels is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers elementary curriculum aligned with district goals.
• Creates and implements lesson plans and instructional materials.
• Assesses student learning and adjusts instruction for individual needs.
• Communicates progress to students, parents and administration.
• Maintains accurate records of grading and attendance as required by district procedures.
• Promotes a safe, engaging classroom environment.
• Collaborates with grade-level colleagues and participates in meetings.
• Administers standardized tests according to district programs.
