Qualifications

• Love and see the high potential of all children.
• Experience working with children in school, childcare or enrichment settings.
• Ability to quickly build relationships and rapport with children in a warm but clear manner.
• Flexible, team-player committed to a positive, joyful experience for students.
• Complete all required criminal and child abuse background checks: PA State Police Clearance, PA Child Abuse Clearance, Cogent Federal Fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Providing children with clear directions and expectations, upholding schoolwide behavior systems.
• Positively redirecting students who struggle to meet behavior expectations.
• Creating opportunities for collaborative play while maintaining supervision of the group.
• Ensuring children enjoy a recess free from bullying.
• Communicating with school staff regarding student concerns or recess needs.
• Bringing out play equipment and tidying the play yard after recess.
• Other relevant duties as assigned by the School Principal.
