Job summary

The University of Utah is seeking Tutors for Utah Reads to help elementary school students struggling with reading. Tutors will work with students individually or in small groups and may assist in after-school programs.

Must be a current student in good standing with at least a 3.0 GPA and have a Federal Work‑Study Award. Flexible scheduling is available, but a commitment for at least one school year is expected.

Qualifications

• In good standing with the University of Utah, academically and in conduct.
• Must show commitment to campus activity and community involvement.
• Has current Federal Work‑Study Award for the current school year.

Responsibilities

• Tutor elementary school students who are reading below grade level.
• Assist in after-school programs and provide classroom help.
• Complete training and orientation before starting work.
