Job summary

Fort Worth ISD is seeking a Demonstration Teacher for Elementary Reading/Language Arts to support Title I initiatives. The role focuses on instructional demonstrations, coaching teachers, and delivering professional learning across campus with district-adopted materials.

The position is grant-funded, with 187 duty days, and reports to school principals through the Learning and Leading department. The role emphasizes equity-driven instruction and student achievement.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
• Valid Texas Teaching Certification required; ESL/Bilingual preferred.
• Minimum 3 years elementary Reading/Language Arts teaching experience with achievement growth.

Responsibilities

• Teach no more than one STAAR-tested standard class period as teacher of record.
• Maintain class roster meeting TIA requirements.
• Provide targeted interventions and small group instruction weekly.
• Lead and participate in PLCs and professional learning communities.
• Demonstrate evidence-based instructional practices using district materials.
• Develop and deliver professional development and coaching for teachers.
