Qualifications

• Valid WV teaching certificate for the specified grades/subjects.
• Criminal background check as required by WV Code §18-5-15c/18A-3-10.
• Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement Kanawha County Schools' standards-based curriculum.
• Implement adopted and supplemental academic programs.
• Integrate 21st-century technology skills in instruction.
• Collaborate with special education staff and students.
• Plan and implement designated co-curricular activities (curricular fairs, awards, field trips).
• Be accountable for individual student achievement.
• Plan and implement personalized learning for all students.
• Maintain strong communication with students, parents and peers.
• Willing to implement programs designated by the principal for school improvement.
• Maintain classroom control.
• Perform supervisory and other duties as assigned by the Principal.
