Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be Highly Qualified according to Arizona DOE requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification current.
• One year of instructional aide or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Discusses teaching areas with the classroom teacher to coordinate efforts.
• Assists students individually or in groups with lesson tasks.
• Provides instruction using various methods under teacher guidance.
• Makes adaptations to materials under guidance of the teacher.
• Ensure student safety and monitor medical needs.
• Escort students and relieve other aides for breaks.
• Collects data as directed and monitors behavior.
• Lift and assist students as needed and supervise meals.
• Monitor digestive processes and prevent choking.
