Job summary

Jefferson Elementary School is seeking a paraprofessional to support students in a classroom or one-on-one setting. The role is a 37.5-hour week paraprofessional position with duties focused on monitoring and supervising students.

The position requires Parapro approval (60 hours post-secondary work or equivalent) and a demonstrated ability to work with students and teachers, both collaboratively and independently, with strong multitasking skills.

Qualifications

• Parapro approval or equivalent per DESPA agreement.
• Interest and ability to work with students/teachers.
• Ability to work with others as well as independently.
• Ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise students.
• Work in a classroom setting or 1-on-1 with a student as needed.
