Folsom Cordova Unified School District is seeking an Elementary Paraeducator to support K-5 classrooms. Under supervision, you will assist teachers, reinforce literacy and numeracy, and work with small groups to help students meet goals.
Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent and passing the district’s Instructional Assistant Proficiency Test in reading and math. The position is 4 hours per day, five days per week at school sites.

Elementary Paraeducator (Grades K-5) Job Description Under the direction of an assigned site supervisor and general guidance of the classroom teachers, theElementary Paraeducator (Intermediate Grades K-5) will assist in the implementation of the educationalprogram for students in an elementary general education environment in order to meet instructional goals andobjectives.
This position is distinguished from other aide or instructional assistant roles in that, in addition to providinginstructional support to students in the elementary grades under the general guidance of the certificatedteacher(s), employees in these positions are primarily responsible for assisting the classroom teacher(s) increating and maintaining engaging academic environments.
Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school and sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed below. Must pass the District’s Instructional Assistant Proficiency Test in reading, math, and per the Federal No Child Left Behind Act.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
