Position Summary
The Elementary Office Clerk provides general clerical and office support to assist with the efficient daily operation of the school office. This position works alongside the building Administrative Assistant to provide supplemental office support; however, does not assume the primary administrative assistant duties. The Clerk works under the direction of the Building Principal.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The duties listed below are representative of the responsibilities of this position.
The Elementary Office Clerk serves in a support capacity to the Building Principal and Administrative Assistant. The Elementary Office Clerk is not independently responsible for the overall operation of the school office or for functions assigned to the building Administrative Assistant, including primary responsibility for student attendance, discipline records, payroll reporting, financial accounts, state reporting, enrollment reporting, or other administrative functions.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, communicate verbally, use a computer and other standard office equipment, and interact with students, staff and members of the public.
The employee may occasionally be required to bend, stoop, reach, and lift or move office materials and supplies weighing up to approximately 30 pounds.
