Mt. Diablo Unified School District Mountain View Elementary in Concord, California, is seeking an Elementary Noon Supervisor to supervise students during lunch recess and transitions.

The role is part-time, 11:15am-12:45pm, 1.5 hours daily, on school days only, with 193 work days. Starting date is August 6, 2026 and the salary ranges from $17.70 to $22.57 per hour. A high school diploma is required and the ability to work with a diverse student body is essential.

Qualifications

• Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school and some experience working with children.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with students and staff.
• Remain calm in stressful situations and supervise students effectively.
• Follow oral and written instructions and school procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in playgrounds, cafeterias, restrooms, hallways and other areas.
• Monitor student behavior and passes to ensure compliance with procedures.
• Assist students to resolve minor conflicts on the playground.
• Report unauthorized activities or persons on school grounds to appropriate authority.
• Assemble students promptly for class when the bell rings and collect any equipment left on the playground.
• Assist students in the cafeteria and may administer simple first aid (band aids, ice packs).
• Report serious infractions to administration promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
