Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience teaching elementary music to students ages 3-11.

• Active involvement in ongoing professional development and practitioners’ networks.

Responsibilities

• Teach group classes in NYC public schools (10–30 students, 45 minutes).
• Develop and deliver ~24 weeks of culturally responsive curriculum.
• Foster musical expression through song, dance, and instruments.
• Collaborate on curriculum and scheduling with site contact and classroom teachers.
• Prepare students for informal or formal performances as needed.
• Encourage continued music education after the program.
