Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's from an accredited college/university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
• NJ State Certification as Music Teacher or as required for position.
• Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers school music curriculum consistent with district goals and objectives.
• Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and translates lesson plans into learning experiences for music instruction.
• Instructs pupils in proper care and use of musical instruments and equipment used in music classes.
• Evaluates pupil performance and growth in knowledge and aesthetic understandings; prepares progress reports.
• Organizes and maintains records for grading and attendance as required.
