Job summary

Murfreesboro City Schools is seeking a Teacher to provide instruction for students in pre-school through sixth grade in the Murfreesboro area. The position requires a valid Tennessee teaching license with endorsements for the applicable grade level or specialty area.

The teacher will work cooperatively with staff, manage student behavior, adhere to curriculum guides, and contribute to student achievement and safety throughout the school day.

Qualifications

• Holds valid Tennessee teaching license with appropriate endorsements for services to children pre-school through sixth grade or specialty area endorsement appropriate to the position sought.
• Must work cooperatively with children and adults; manage student behavior; protect confidentiality; support child safety and self-esteem; model grammar; communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Represent the system to parents and the community.
• Follow locally adopted curriculum guides for areas taught.
