Responsibilities

• Teaches elementary music knowledge and skills in music appreciation, theory, and instrumental/choral music.
• Teaches secondary music theory, instrumental, or choral music as appropriate.

• Plans a balanced music program; manages class time for instruction and rehearsal.
• Provides individual or small group instruction to tailor the curriculum.
• Uses diverse music literature appropriate for ages and skill levels.
• Manages instrument inventory and minor repairs with vendor support.
• Maintains pupil behavior standards for an orderly learning environment.
• Evaluates pupil progress and communicates outcomes to parents and staff.
