Job summary

Poplar School District in Montana seeks a Music Teacher to develop students' understanding and appreciation of music across genres, periods and styles, and to promote and develop each student's vocal and instrumental talents.

You will deliver a balanced program, manage rehearsals, assess progress, communicate with families, and collaborate with colleagues to maintain a productive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Must have or be eligible to obtain Montana Teaching Certificate with endorsements.
• Teaching experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers music education curriculum aligned with district goals.
• Promotes a safe classroom enabling individualized and small group instruction.
• Plans and directs rehearsals for performances outside the classroom.
• Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and adapts instruction accordingly.
• Maintains accurate records of grades and attendance as required.
