Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in music or a related field.
• Arkansas certification in music is required or preferred.
• Two years’ experience in music education is preferred.
• Piano skills, music notation, and basic office software are beneficial.
• Hands-on experience teaching music to elementary students.
• Strong knowledge of music curriculum and instruction.

Responsibilities

• Instructs and plans the elementary school music program.
• Develops curriculum for the elementary music program and coordinates concerts.
• Plan performance appearances for students involved in music programs.
• Collaborates with other music teachers to provide special programs and concerts.
• Maintains a clean and organized music room and performance space.
• Uses instructional technology to support the teaching/learning process.
