Sankofa Montessori seeks dedicated elementary educators to implement a Montessori-based curriculum within a PK-12 charter setting in Georgia. The role emphasizes high-quality instruction, data-informed planning, and inclusive practices supporting diverse learners.

As a founding school, the team collaborates with a dedicated coach, weekly planning time, and access to curriculum resources and devices to enhance student learning. The position offers meaningful impact and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Georgia certified teacher required.
• Two or more years of effective teaching experience in a high-need public school environment.
• Knowledge of Montessori curriculum content and children’s developmental needs is a plus.
• Willing to serve all children in an inclusive and supportive setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and implement high-quality instruction.
• Submit weekly lesson plans for review and incorporate feedback.
• Observe students regularly to inform instruction.
• Teach diverse learners in an inclusive environment with IEP goals.
• Participate in Child Study process with data presentation and plan implementation.
• Build classroom culture that emphasizes excellence and identity affirmation.
• Lead classroom family communication and meetings.
• Collaborate with coaches and participate in professional development.
