Spectrum 360 A NJ Non Profit Corp. seeks a Teacher of Music for Elementary/Middle School for the 2026-2027 school year.

The role is full-time and tenure-track, eligible for health insurance under the negotiated agreement with the Educational Association of Paramus. The teacher will provide general music to pre-K through 4th grade and lead Grade 5‑8 General Music two days a week in the middle school, reporting to the Principal and Supervisor of Visual and Performing Arts.

Qualifications

• New Jersey Teacher of Music Certification required.
• Experience directing ensembles preferred.
• Elementary and/or Middle School Music education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach general music to students in pre-K to grade 4.
• Provide small group instruction for 4th‑grade band, orchestra and choir.
• Teach Grade 5‑8 General Music two days per week in middle school.

Job Goal(s)

The Elementary/Middle School Music Teaching position includes teaching general music to students in grades pre‑k to grade 4, and providing small group instruction to students involved in the 4th‑grade band, orchestra, and choir programs. Additionally, two days per week will include teaching Grade 5‑8 General Music within the middle school.

1. Build a school and classroom culture in which students gain an interest in and appreciation for music and the arts
2. Guide the learning process toward the achievement of established NJSLS and district curriculum goals and implement a variety of teaching and assessment techniques (including formative and summative) to ensure student achievement and engagement
3. Collaborate regularly with the Pre‑K‑Grade 12 professional learning community to promote cohesiveness and unity within the program

Qualifications

Salary

Starting salary of $57,547.00 in accordance with collective bargaining agreement

Evaluation

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Agreement between the Board of Education and the Education Association of Paramus.
