Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in teaching from an accredited institution and Illinois licensure in teaching an appropriate subject area.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Must be able to report to work regularly and punctually.
• Knowledge and implementation of relevant technology and curriculum.
• Meet professional teacher education requirements of the school, district, and state.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning and student growth.
• Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and tests in accordance with established procedures.
• Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
• Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules.
• Maintain discipline in accordance with the school rules and procedures.
• Ensure student safety and provide appropriate feedback on work.

Education

Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in teaching

Illinois State licensure in teaching (Elementary Education)

Knowledge of information literacy and technology integration
