Job summary

Champaign Unit 4 Schools seeks an Elementary Librarian to organize and manage the Media Center, align materials and lesson plans with district objectives, and collaborate with teachers to enhance student learning. The role emphasizes instructional planning, classroom communication, and responsible stewardship of resources.

The librarian will lead the Media Center staff, oversee budgeted funds, and ensure a conducive environment for learning while supporting district policies and curricular goals.

Qualifications

• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Library Information Specialist Endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Organizes materials for maximum use by students and staff.
• Develops written plans based on District curriculum and objectives in conjunction with teachers.
• Communicates objectives and purpose of lessons.
• Maintains and oversees the Media Center, including budget and materials selection.
• Collaborates with teachers to provide appropriate learning opportunities for students.
