Job summary

Elmwood Park Community Unit School District #401 is seeking a Lunch Monitor at John Mills Elementary School to supervise students during cafeteria meals and assist with orderly food service. Qualifications

• Experience working with children is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in supervising students in the cafeteria during mealtime.
• Keeps tables and surrounding areas clean.
• Supervises students in the lunch hour on playground/classroom as applicable.
• Assists with orderly food purchases, distribution, disposal, and return of trays and utensils.
• Ensures students remain seated in assigned areas and circulates among tables.
• Organizes groups of students for orderly dismissal from the cafeteria.
• Assists with supervising students in libraries and escorting to buses.
• Reports infractions or safety concerns to staff as appropriate.
