Job summary

Minnetonka Public School Service Center in Minnetonka, MN, seeks Class A Lunchroom/Playground Paraprofessional for Scenic Heights Elementary. Two openings at 2.0 and 2.25 hours per day, 184 days per year, starting at $20.28 per hour.

You will supervise students, enforce rules in lunchroom and playground, guide behavior, complete routine paperwork, assist with cleaning tables, and report concerns to the principal. Teamwork and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with elementary school age students.
• Ability to respect, protect, and maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to take charge of student behavior as circumstances suggest.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Excellent human relations and oral communication skills with coworkers, supervisor, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision of students and enforce school rules in the lunchroom, playground, or other designated locations in cooperation with other staff.
• Guide students in the implementation of rules, routines and expectations for the playground and lunchroom.
• Complete routine paperwork and perform record-keeping activities related to monitoring activities.
• Assist with cleaning the lunchroom tables as needed.
• Report any areas of concern regarding student behavior and equipment needs to the building principal.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
