Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or Literacy is required; master's preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years elementary teaching experience.
• Depth of understanding in language-based learning differences and current literacy trends.
• Experience with assessment tools to inform instruction.
• Training in structured multisensory instruction such as Orton-Gillingham (UFLI/Fundations).

Responsibilities

• Provide small group literacy intervention and monitor progress.
• Analyze assessment data with Lower Division teachers to improve instruction.
• Develop and implement literacy curriculum with grade-level teams.
• Communicate regularly with parents both orally and in writing.
• Differentiate reading instruction in partnership with the Director of Academic Support.
