Job summary

Greenwood Community Schools is seeking an Elementary Library Supervisor at Northeast Elementary School. This role involves teaching daily library lessons, managing book check-out/check-in, and creating engaging displays. The ideal candidate loves working with children, is organized, and communicates effectively. The position is available starting July 31, 2026, with a pay of $17.40/hour for 8 hours a day over 184 days. Benefits include eligibility for PERF and other available benefits.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with children and fostering a love of reading.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with students, staff, and families.
• Organized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Teach daily library lessons for each grade level.
• Manage book check-out/check-in and inventory.
• Create engaging library displays throughout the year.
• Lead the annual book fair.
• Communicate with families regarding overdue or lost books.
• Ensure all library materials are collected at the end of the year.
