GradePower Learning Meridian-Boise is seeking passionate Elementary tutors for after-school hours in Meridian, ID. The role is in-person, part-time, with two evenings per week and potential for a year or longer.

You will teach reading and writing to up to three students at a time using pre-planned lessons, receive training on our philosophy, and help students build confidence and skills in ELA. Applicants should have a degree or close certification and tutoring experience is encouraged.

Tutors Needed - Elementary

Passionate about puns? Moved by reading & writing? Eager to help Elementary school students succeed?

We are currently seeking part-time tutors for a role teaching reading and writing to elementary school students at ourGradePower Learning Meridian-Boisecenter. This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys teaching the ins and outs of ELA, and is passionate about helping others build their learning skills in these areas.

Tutors at GradePower Learning do not have to lesson plan before class, as all lessons are pre-planned and prepared. Applicants will be fully trained on our philosophy and methodology.

Position Requirements:

All Tutors at GradePower Learning need to have flexibility to work during after-school and evening hours: Monday-Friday (4:00pm - 8:00pm)at least2 days a week. A commitment ofa year is preferred. Continuing for longer is even better! Your students will love working with you, so being reliable is a must.

This role isin-person. You must be able to commute to this location; this is not an online position. Relocation packages are not available. Background check is mandatory.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field is ideal

Experience:

• Some experience teaching/tutoring at an Elementary School(or equivalent) level required
• Strong English writing, oral communication skills, and ability to guide students' understanding
• Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time

You will work directly with students as an Interactive Coach with the following responsibilities:

• Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels
• Teaching in-person
• Following the GradePower Learning methodologies and philosophies
• Completing daily student communication updates to key staff
• Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times
