Job summary

Hopkins Public Schools seeks a Paraprofessional to support reading, math, and writing interventions for students at Glen Lake Elementary. The role involves working with individuals and small groups, reinforcing classroom plans, and creating study aids under teacher supervision.

You will monitor student progress, assist with activities, and help create a positive learning environment in a diverse, inclusive setting. Minimum education includes two years post-secondary education or ParaPro score.

Qualifications

• Two years post-secondary education or a passing ParaPro score.
• One year of curriculum support experience.
• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Works with students individually or in small groups under teacher supervision.
• Reinforces instructional plan and motivates students in math, reading, and language.
• Plans and prepares study aids such as flash cards and worksheets.
• Assists teacher with activities; leads breakout sessions.
• Monitors and reports progress of individual students to teachers.
