Job summary

Douglas County School District is seeking a Head Custodian I at Zephyr Cove Elementary School for the day shift. The role oversees custodial staff, maintains the building, and ensures a safe, clean school environment.

The position includes 12 months of employment, Nevada benefits, and employer/employee paid salary range with strong safety and reporting requirements. Training and supervision are key daily duties.

Qualifications

• Two years of progressively responsible custodial experience with some supervisory duties.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Possession of Nevada driver's license is needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage cleanliness standards and ensure health cleaning programs are followed.
• Assist in selection, assignment, scheduling and training of custodial staff.
• Plan and oversee daily maintenance and repairs; report to supervisor and principal.
• Inspect classrooms, offices and hallways; submit monthly reports.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment; monitor safety compliance.
• Coordinate custodial activities for special events and assist with snow removal.
