Qualifications

• Candidates must meet one of these criteria: elementary education degree or equivalent, or a bachelor’s with lead teacher experience.
• PRAXIS or state-certification requirements must be satisfied as listed.
• Active teaching certification from OSSE or another state is required.

Responsibilities

• Create curriculum to teach grade-level standards with engaging, well-designed lessons.
• Plan challenging lessons with multiple entry points and supports for varied abilities.
• Maintain attendance, grades, and behavior records with accuracy.
• Prepare progress reports and comments four times per year.
• Update grades bi-weekly using assessment data for teams, students, and families.
• Implement Expeditionary Learning, Responsive Classroom, and UDL principles.
