Job summary

Queen Creek Unified School District is seeking an Instructional Assistant - Flex to support classroom instruction and student supervision. The role involves assisting the teacher with daily activities, reinforcing lessons, and helping with both group and individual learning tasks.

The position requires strong verbal and written communication, the ability to operate general office equipment, and prior experience with elementary students.

Qualifications

• Experience working with elementary level students.
• 4-6 lines of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Works with individual students or groups of students to reinforce learning of material or skills initially introduced by the teacher.
• Assists independent study, enrichment work and remedial work for the classroom.
• Maintains the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information as is expected of teachers.
• Participates in in-service training programs as required.
• Exercises positive problem solving behavior and conflict resolution skills.
• Adheres to the dress code appropriate for the site and job.
• Assists with the supervision of students during emergency drills, assemblies, play periods, lunch periods and field trips.
• Maintains the confidentiality of protected student and staff member information even after no longer being employed.
• Confers with teacher and parents, if requested by teacher, to assist in the evaluation of students' progress in relations to established educational objectives.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned to advance district priorities.
