Job summary

San Juan Unified is seeking an Instructional Assistant II at Mariposa Elementary School for a 6-hour daily schedule (7:45am–2:15pm, Mon–Fri). The role is part-time with benefits and works within the CSEA General Unit framework.

The position involves supporting instructors in Resource and Special Day Class settings, assisting with small-group instruction, and helping meet the needs of students with mild/moderate disabilities. Applicants must qualify via exam, transcripts, or degree as outlined.

Qualifications

• Experience with Resource, Learning Handicap, or Communicatively Handicap programs.
• Ability to run small groups and support in General Education and Special Day Class settings.
• Willingness to obtain a California Class C Driver License within 30 days if required.

Responsibilities

• Run small groups and assist students in large groups in various classroom settings.
• Support the teacher's needs to maintain effective instruction.
• Assist with routine tasks to support classroom operations.
