Job summary

San Juan Unified is seeking an Instructional Assistant II (6 Hours) at Del Paso Manor to support instructional staff and students. The position runs Monday through Friday, 8:55 AM - 3:25 PM, with a 6-hour workday and 9 months/year type calendars for various sites.

The role requires assisting in small and large groups, with experience in Resource or Special Education settings preferred. A California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire may be required for certain programs.

Qualifications

• Experience with small groups and supporting teachers in classroom settings.
• Ability to work with students in Resource, Learning Handicap or Communicatively Handicap programs.
• Willingness and ability to obtain California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire.
• Experience in both general education and special education environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Run small groups and assist in large groups as directed by the teacher.
• Support the teacher's instructional needs and classroom management.
• Assist with student supervision and ensure a safe learning environment.
