Job summary

Breckinridge County School District is seeking an Instructional Assistant for Custer Elementary School in Kentucky. You will work under certified staff to reinforce instruction, prepare materials, and support student learning during the 181-day work year.

Responsibilities include small-group instruction, behavior monitoring, and clerical tasks. A high school diploma or GED is required; KY Paraeducator options or related degree are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Optionally an associate degree, 48 college hours, or KY Paraeducator exam.
• Must pass criminal records check and health requirements.

Responsibilities

• Instructs individuals or small groups under teacher direction.
• Prepare and organize lessons as directed.
• Monitor and report student behavior following procedures.
• Provide clerical support and maintain classroom materials and records.
• Assist with setup of work areas, displays, audio-visual equipment, and educational tools.
• Support teacher to meet student needs and foster safe learning environments.
