Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: stated requirements for paraprofessional or ParaPro.
• Computer Skills: Internet searches, email, basic online systems.

Responsibilities

• Assists, instructs, or tutors students, individually or in small groups, with lesson assignments to reinforce concepts.
• Assists students with instructional materials to promote skill development.
• Supports reading, writing, library, computer-lab and math lessons under teacher guidance.
• Assists the teacher during large group instruction as requested.
• Helps students with independent study and remedial work as assigned.
• Keeps students focused and reports issues to the teacher of record.
• Maintains assessment records as directed by the teacher.
• Collaborates with teachers to coordinate instructional efforts and classroom materials.
