Job summary

East Harlem Tutorial Program (EHTP) seeks an Elementary Inclusive Learning Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year in New York, NY. You will work with a co‑teacher to deliver content to students with diverse needs and collaborate with grade teams and the instructional leadership team.

You will track progress, manage IEPs, foster a positive classroom culture, and continually reflect to improve teaching practices, advancing equity and student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years' experience in relevant educational positions.
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher, and holding or pursuing NYS certification for Students With Disabilities.
• Ability to speak, write, and understand Spanish fluently (preferred).
• Maintain high professional and ethical standards.
• Experience working with diverse student communities.
• Belief that every student can learn with quality education.
• Proven success raising achievement for at‑risk students.
• Flexibility to adapt to school and student needs.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Teach primarily with a co‑teacher, delivering content to all students in the class.
• Collaborate with grade teams and instructional leadership to develop/align curriculum.
• Track student progress and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Create a positive classroom and school culture and engage in reflective practice to improve instruction.
