Position Information
Under the general direction of the building administrator, ensures that the physical plant and environment is safe, clean, functional, well-maintained, and secure.
Shift Details: 8 hours a day; 260 day calendar; position hours are 6:00am-2:30pm
Continuing Position: Employees have reasonable assurance of continued employment to the following school year. However, an employee's total work hours and the designated beginning and ending times may vary.
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Hourly Rate: $33.25 (hourly) (2024-2025 Salary Schedule)
Position Type/Level: Elementary Head Custodian Level 3

Licenses And Other Requirements
The position requires the physical ability to stand for prolonged periods, walk long distances, bend, stoop and twist frequently, lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work in confined spaces, work at heights occasionally, use hand tools, reach above shoulder height, and perform work outdoors during all seasons.
Benefits
The Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA) provides access to health care services and retirement packages. Our benefits are provided to eligible positions through SEBB (School Employees Benefits Board). Eligibility for SEBB state health insurance coverage is determined by working 630 hours during the school year. Eligibility for retirement at the time of hire is determined by employees who work at least 3.50 hours per day in a continuing position.
