Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited College or University in a Related Field Required, Master’s Degree Preferred.
• A Valid Virginia Department of Education Teaching Provisional, Collegiate, or PostGraduate License, with an endorsement in English as a Second Language PreK-12, or eligibility to obtain the Teaching License with the appropriate endorsement upon hiring.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom work to address individualized learning plans within established lesson plans.
• Administers developmental testing programs and subject-specific assessments to assess student competency and develop learning plans.
• Advises parents/guardians of student progress and communicates expectations and progress to home.
• Collaborates with instructional staff and parents to improve student outcomes and achieve objectives.
• Manages student behavior to provide a safe and optimal learning environment.
