Job summary

RHOADS ELEMENTARY in Katy, TX is seeking an Aide - Elementary (English/Spanish) to support emergent bilingual students. The role collaborates with the Campus EB Specialist, ESL teacher, and core content-area staff to deliver high-quality ESL assistance and maintain compliance with program requirements.

The position is a full-time paraprofessional role with a 187-day calendar, non-exempt status, and duties including testing support and scheduling flexibility.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English both oral and written.
• Spanish fluency preferred.
• Experience with students and staff preferred.
• Ability to work with a flexible schedule.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with EB Specialist, ESL teacher, and core teachers to support EB students.
• Provide targeted small group instruction based on language needs.
• Administer oral and written tests as needed at the EL Testing Center.
• Maintain student confidentiality and professional standards.
• Engage in professional development to improve EB instruction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
